The Journey of Mike Harris
mike

This week has been exciting and challenging all at the same time. In my work with coaching church planters, we were given the privilege of spending a couple of days with author and prophetic voice Alan Hirsch. I also took our Leadership Team over to hear Alan on Wednesday night. One of the best things that happened to me as I was listening to Alan speak is that I fell in love with Jesus all over again. Jesus is amazing. He is not only the image of God in the universe, he is also the most beautiful human being who ever lived. He is a wild revolutionary of love, and those who encounter Him are never the same again.

All around The Journey I see the evidence of His powerful transformation in the lives of people. In fact, this Sunday after our morning worship gathering, I will be baptizing another person who recently stepped across the line of faith and invited Jesus into her life. You'll be hearing more from her this Sunday, so I hope you join us at our worship gathering at 11:00am.

This past week, many of us have been praying and visiting Heather Pond in the hospital. Heather was baptized here at The Journey in August. This week she underwent open heart surgery at the age of 24. She is recovering well, although in a lot of pain. Please keep her and the family in your prayers.

This Sunday, we also kick off our Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class. Go to our website (www.ijourneyonline.com) for more information on that.
