The Journey has purchased 11.32 acres of property on the corner of I-75 and Rattalee Lake Road in the Springfield Township area. This is a beautiful piece of prime property with 1200 feet of road frontage and a view from I-75. It will make a spectacular site for our future church campus.
In 2005, we started a campaign called “Homeward Bound” and purchased this property for $250,000. Since that time we have aggressively worked to pay off our loan. Currently, we owe less than $42,000. We invite you to make donations to Homeward Bound to help us pay off the loan.
To make donations to Homeward Bound, you can go to our Online Giving page, follow the instructions and choose Homeward Bound. Or, you may make your checks out to The Journey, indicating in the memo line, “Homeward Bound.”
This is an artist rendering of the 1st of a 3-Phase building plan we have put together. This 8,000 to 10,000 sq. ft. building would give us flexible ministry space for worship gatherings, kids & teen ministry space, and offices. Phases 2 & 3 would include a larger auditorium, coffee house, classrooms, and gymnasium/youth center.
If you would like to visit the property, take I-75 to exit 98. Turn right, then immediately turn right again on Tindall Road. Follow Tindall around the golf course (the speed limit is 25 and is often patrolled). The road ends at Rattalee Lake Road and you will be looking straight ahead at the property. Most of the property is very thickly overgrown, but there are some access points where you can walk on.
