SOMETHING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

youngsters

Our Early Childhood department is a safe and loving environment for children birth through five years. Leaders give special care and attention to each child who is entrusted to them during the worship service. Jesus' love, radiating from our leaders, helps your children feel church is a happy place where they are loved and secure. As you enter the building their area is to the left (by the cafe) with a  sign in for parents.

kidzstreet

Every weekend, kids ages six through 5th grade are greeted as they enter our Kidzstreet children's area. You can hear the energetic sounds of worship as kids learn to praise God in their own words. They'll hear Bible lessons presented in an interactive, creative way so they'll be able to apply those truths to their lives. Your kids will sense the love of God coming from dedicated adults who are committed to serving Jesus by leading kids. As you enter the building their area is to the right.

youth

God has a purpose for your teens! They don't need to wait until they are adults to make their life count! Whether your teen is in high school or junior high, we'll bring a biblical message of hope and challenge to them. We use cutting edge videos, fun games and music.

Building

HOMEWARD BOUND

A NEW PLACE TO WORSHIP

In 2005, we started a campaign called "Homeward Bound" and purchased 11 acres of property on the corner of I-75 and Rattalee Lake Road in Davisburg, MI. This is a beautiful piece of prime property with great visibility from I-75.

In September of 2018 we officially broke ground on the new site.  Thanks to the skilled labor and tremendous workforce of the Journey community, we are finally in our new home!  We are now meeting weekly at our new location.

While the land has been paid for, we are still working to pay for the building. To make donations to Homeward Bound, you can go to our Online Giving page, follow the instructions and choose Homeward Bound. Or, you may make your checks out to The Journey, indicating in the memo line, "Homeward Bound."

JIRANI: IS SWAHILI FOR "NEIGHBOR"

The Journey Church, in partnership with the Good Shepherd and Jirani ministries is helping to bring the love of Christ to one of the most remote places on Earth.

We have planted multiple churches in East Africa, including a church in Rwanda and in West Pokot, Kenya. For 15 years now, The Journey has been traveling to the Great Rift Valley of northern Kenya to serve the Pokot people.

Recently, through the Good Shepherd ministry, we have been working with local shepherds and small business owners. Our goal is to reach those who have not heard the gospel through teaching the shepherds ways to improve the health of their livestock. As a pastoral people, the health of their animal herds is directly related to the health of the people.

We have also donated castration tools, tick sprayers and protective gear, in addition to repairing three wells. Our goal is not to simply be charitable, but to give the Pokot the necessary tools to become a self-sufficient society.  Through these micro-finance projects, the Pokot are able to establish a foundation for future growth while taking pride in knowing that it is through their efforts that their people have been able to thrive.

If you would like to donate to our efforts, you can go to the Giving page. Be sure to select The Pokot Fund. Thank you for all of your support.
