One Another

Tamela Rigg

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider one another, in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Before we can truly consider one another, we must first consider Jesus.  He is our example, our foundation, and the source of our love for others.

Think about Him. Focus on Him. Study Him. Reflect on His sacrifice and victory. Let His teachings shape your thoughts and actions. As we fix our eyes on Jesus, His love flows through us, enabling us to genuinely care for one another.

Caring for one another is at the heart of our faith. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to consider each other, stir up love and good works, and not neglect meeting together. When we truly see and support those around us, we create a community where no one feels alone. God designed us to lift each other up, and when we do, we reflect His love in a powerful way.

Encouragement is a gift we can freely give. We all experience moments of discouragement, weariness, or uncertainty. That’s why God calls us to be intentional about building one another up. A kind word, a heartfelt prayer, or simply showing up for someone can make all the difference. Loving and considering one another goes beyond words. It’s about being present, noticing when someone is struggling, then taking action. Jesus showed us what real love looks like—selfless, sacrificial, and full of grace. When we care for those around us, we stir up love and good works, inspiring each other to live out our faith in practical ways.

The truth is, we need each other. Church isn’t just a building; it’s a family. Whether in Sunday services, small groups, or everyday conversations, our time together should leave us feeling encouraged and strengthened. When we center our relationships on Christ, we grow deeper in faith and help others do the same.

So, let’s embrace this call to love, encourage, as we gather with One Another. The world can be tough, but we don’t have to face it alone. Who can you reach out to this week to stir up love and good works and remind them they are not alone?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, your word tells me to consider others and to stir up love and good works encouraging them always until your return. Help me father to let go of my selfishness and to see others, to encourage and uplift them. This world is tough, and we need each other. Lord may your spirit guide me to those who need your love today. Amen
